All laboratory hydraulic presses are bench-top mounted, and are compatible with a broad selection of Specac hydraulic pellet press dies and heated platens.
Hand Pellet Press
Hand pellet press and die products are available for routine laboratory FTIR KBr pellet press sample preparation. These pellet press and pellet die sets are designed to be easy to use and give consistently high-quality KBr pellets for FTIR spectroscopic analysis.
Pellet Press Dies
Evacuable pellet press dies are available for Specac manual, power, and automatic hydraulic press products. These pellet press dies are available in a range of diameters from 5 mm to 40 mm as standard, and include the 13 mm KBr pellet press die for FTIR applications and 32 mm / 40 mm XRF pellet press die.
Heated Platens and Thin Film Makers
Heated platen and thin film making accessories for Specac hydraulic presses. These are designed for the fabrication of thin films of polymer materials for FTIR transmission spectroscopy. Standard and high-temperature thin film making kits are available.
Mills and Grinders
Mill and grinding accessories for KBr sample preparation. These allow homogenous KBr powder preparation appropriate for analytical techniques such as FTIR transmission analysis and diffuse reflectance analysis.
